Stapleton Shines At CMAs

Chris Stapleton wins six awards at the 2021 CMAs.

Chris Stapleton was the big winner at this year’s Country Music Association Awards, held Wednesday at Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena.

Among the awards Stapleton took home were the trophies for Best Album, Best Song, Best Single and Male Vocalist of the Year.

Carly Pearce won Best Female Vocalist and there were understandably some tears when she collected her award.

Luke Combs took the award for Entertainer of the Year with the Musical Event given to the song “Half Of My Hometown” by Kelsea Ballerini featuring Kenny Chesney.

Best Album: “Starting Over,” Chris Stapleton.

Best Song: “Starting Over,” Chris Stapleton and Mike Henderson.

Vocal duo: Brothers Osborne.

Female vocalist: Carly Pearce.

Male vocalist: Chris Stapleton.

Music video: “Half Of My Hometown,” Kelsea Ballerini (featuring Kenny Chesney).

Single of the Year: “Starting Over,” Chris Stapleton.

New artist: Jimmie Allen.

Vocal group: Old Dominion.

Musical event: “Half Of My Hometown,” Kelsea Ballerini (featuring Kenny Chesney).

Musician: Jenee Fleenor, fiddle.
