Lainey Wilson Duets On Cole Swindell Single

Lainey Wilson was lying on a beach when she was approached to do the song!

When Lainey Wilson got the text from Cole Swindell asking if she’d sing on his new song Never Say Never she was supping a Pina Colada and soaking up some rays on a Mexican beach.

Lainey was talking to Palm Tree Radio ahead of the release of the single on Thursday (18th November) and she remembers being pretty quick off the mark in replying. “I wrote back and said I couldn’t reply quickly enough,” she said.

“When Cole Swindell wrote the song he told me that he couldn’t hear anyone else singing the opening “I told my Mama” line,” said Wilson.

The pair got together on her return and laid the instruments down before they recorded the vocals separately.

The release of the song adds to an amazing year for the singer from Baskin, Louisiana who had her first Country Number One and recently was one of the awards presenters at the 55th Country Music Awards in Nashville.
